3D digital radiography - ICAT machine
We are among only four orthodontic offices in Quebec that have 3D X-ray equipment. This device greatly increases the quality and accuracy of the x-ray information. An exceptionally complete radiological analysis of the teeth and jaws structures, including the jaw joints (TMJ), is now possible.
What is a 3D x-ray? It is also called cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT). It’s the measure of the radiological density of a volume. It allows us to see anatomical structures in 3 dimensions. The digital images it generates can be viewed in depth and examined at all possible angles.
Technological advancement has been particularly marked since the last five years. The new machines are equipped with more sophisticated electronic sensors and are using higher performance viewing software.
Comfortable and fast for patients, the precision of the beam and the high efficiency of the electronic sensors allow a small amount of radiation to be used when taking a radiograph. It takes 8.9 seconds to be completed. The information gathered is then reconstructed on the computer within the next 30 seconds.
Analysis and simulation software
The orthodontist thoroughly studies each patient record to determine the best treatment plan.
The record studies are usually done using the analysis software Invivo 5 presented by the company Anatomage.

This technology offers several advantages for patients:
- Impressionless study model
- Case analysis in 3D imaging
- Analysis of the jaw joint (TMJ)
- Analysis of the respiratory air ways)
- Precise planning of TAD placement when needed
- Final result simulation in 3D imaging
In the event that the orthodontist noted an anomaly other than of dental or orthodontic nature, you will be notified. The reading of your x-ray by a radiologist will be recommended. The results of this reading are then forwarded to your doctor.

SteriCentre
We are now equipped with the latest generation SteriCentre Triangle.
The SteriCentre provides a securely organized environment that prevents cross contamination and protects patients and dental personnel alike.
It gives us an operating environment that allows us to apply a complete sterilization procedure, based on the recommendations of the ADA.
The new generation B sterilizers are now part of our sterilization center. The autoclave Bravo (split vacuum chamber) meets the highest standard of medical sterilization.
Computerized management

You will quickly notice that the computer software is part the office environment. You're invited, upon every arrival, to register your attendance by using the computer at the reception.
To answer high efficiency standards and ecological concerns, our office patient data and scheduling system is entirely computerized.
This system allows us to minimize your waiting time and maximize our results!
